Volunteers began Pregnancy Care Center renovations

Work has begun on the new Pregnancy Care Center in Washington.

        Saturday workers began gutting the building located at Front and Walnut which will house the facility.

        Volunteer Jordan Briggeman told the Washington Times Herald that over a dozen people completed 75% of the demolition of the interior of the former grocery stores.

        Volunteers are still being sought to help with all aspects of demolition, renovation and construction.  Anyone who would like to help or offer services can call Briggeman at 812-259-2414. The Pregnancy Care Center’s number is 812-257-1041.

        The Pregnancy Care Center cares for those dealing with crisis pregnancies.  They are non-profit and help to provide life affirming choices working to meet physical, emotional and spiritual needs.  They have confidential testing, counseling and education and more. 

        As of October, the center had performed over 2,000 client visits in the area it serves which includes, Daviess, Pike, Martin, Knox, Dubois and Greene Counties.
