The Vincennes Shop with a Cop program turns 21 this year. The program helps thousands of local Knox County area kids at Christmas time by taking them shopping for toys and clothes.
Once again this year, the 3 to 5 year olds will have a police escort from the Vincennes Head Start to the local Wal-Mart for a morning of shopping capped off with lunch.
Officials are expecting over 200 kids in this year’s event and about $200 per child will be spent. The Vincennes Shop with a Cop is December 11th. Donations are being accepted. You can mail them to :
