Shiela Kay Smith, 63, passed away at 9:19 pm on November 9, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her family. Shiela was born on June 20, 1955 in Vincennes the daughter of John Phillip Smashey and Pauline Crabtree. She married Dale L. Smith on December 9, 2000 and he survives.
Shiela had worked for Daviess Community Hospital as a Respiratory Therapist for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and gardening. Sheila also enjoyed playing with her pets Slade and Sadie.
Survivors include her husband, Dale L. Smith of Washington; daughter’s Tasha Roe and her husband Brian of Washington, Amanda Wells of Vincennes, Stacy Hinkle and her husband Jack of Washington; son, Blake Grannan of Washington; sisters, Doris Larie and her husband Rick of Stockbridge, MI, Beverly White and her husband Russ of Lancaster, KY; nine grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Shiela was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and two sisters.
A special thanks to helping Hearts Hospice and to a dear friend Emma Silcock. Shiela will be cremated at her request and there will be a celebration of life service held at a later date.
