More details were learned concerning the arrest of a Hastings Michigan couple in Washington this week.
49-year-old Steven and 43-year-old Katie Hause were booked into the security center on Wednesday after beein arrested on warrants for Conspiracy to Commit Theft.
The charges stem from an auction conducted for the late Sam Gee’s Family in Washington earlier this year.
Daviess County Chief Deputy Gary Allison told the the Washington Times Herald the two allegedly did not pay the client and kept some items that did not sell. The two were arrested in Danville, Illinois. Allison said the two may have committed the same offense against others in the area.
Both are housed in the security center on $50,000 bond.
