We are one week away from the mid-term election.  Many have already voted in Daviess County.

County Clerk Janice Williams says 1,170 people had voted early at her office as of about 11 am yesterday.   The state’s website says that there are about 17,500 total registered voters in the county.  So, about 6.7% of those have voted.

Williams says 114 people took advantage of Saturday’s special hours.  Williams says there was a line Saturday morning and things tapered off in the afternoon.

The clerk’s office is open 8 to 4 through Friday for those who want to vote early.  Early voting is available again this coming Saturday from 8 to 3 at the clerk’s office at the courthouse.  The last day to vote early is Monday 8 to Noon at the clerk’s office.  Again the election is next Tuesday, one week from today, November 6th.
