Two Washington residents were arrested for Conspiracy to Commit Counterfeiting and other charges on Saturday.
39-year-old Monty G. Murphy and 41-year-old Betty A Edmondson are also charged with Conspiracy to Commit Forgery. Murphy was also charged with Counterfeiting and Forgery.
Both were wanted on warrants for the charges and were arrested without incident when city police were investigated another incident on Northwest 8th Saturday afternoon.
Meanwhile police continue to investigate instances of counterfeit money turning up at Washington businesses over the weekend.
