Ann Ready, 85, of Vincennes, went to Heaven on Saturday, September 29, 2018.
She was born July 19, 1933 in Johnson Township, Knox County at home to Riley and Helen (Bobe) Osborne.
Ann retired after 25 years as a teacher for the Vincennes Community School Corporation. She was a Indiana University Graduate and received her Master’s Degree from Indiana University also. Ann also attended the Monroe City First Church of God and the First Baptist Church in Vincennes.
Surviving are her husband of 65 years, Rex Ready, whom she married on July 22, 1953; her daughters, Janie Haggard and her husband Jerry of Vincennes, Lynn Gray and her husband Mark of Vincennes, and Beth Mullens and her husband Brad of Fairfield Glade, Tennessee; her sister, Imo Jeanne Williams of Keller, TX; and her grandchildren, Jathan Haggard and his wife Katie of Indianapolis, Emily Lynn and her husband Tyler of Evansville; Katie Gray of Bloomington, Laura Kaiser and her husband Brayten of Vincennes, and Lane Bird of Vincennes.
Preceding her in death were her parents, one sister, and one brother.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at the Monroe City First Church of God with the Rev. Mark Nielson officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-8 pm Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wycliffe Bible Translators at www.wycliffe.org or envelopes will be available at the church.
