Officials in Pike County have finalized designs for the planned Entrepreneurship & Technology Center. The Pike County Economic Development Corp. says the facility will include a coworking space, makerspace and a training center.

The center is being funded in part through a $787,500 grant from the U.S. Economic Development Administration, which was awarded in October of last year. Inside Indiana Business reports that officials expect to begin the bidding process for general contractors next month.

The project was listed among many aspects of a long-term strategic plan for a 4,000-acre section of land off I-69 in Pike County.

The Pike County EDC’s website says the facility’s mission will be to “enable regional talent to foster ideas to develop startup concepts and launch new businesses.”
