Michael A. Shaw, 51, of Loogootee, passed away at 4:31 a.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center.
He was born February 13, 1967 in Peoria, Illinois to the Ed Thunehorst and Linda (Washburn) Pennington.
Michael was a United States Army veteran. While active in the service he was an Army Ranger and part of the 82nd Airborne.
He loved going on cruises and was looking forward to his trip next month. He also enjoyed watching sports on television.
Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Pennington; grandparents, Herb and Betty Washburn.
He is survived by his daughters, Lindsay (Shane) Foster and Ashlie Shaw; grandchildren, Gage Foster, Mia Watts, Gracelynn Foster and Addleigh Shaw; father and step-mom, Ed and Kathy Thunehorst; sister, Michelle (Bruce) Jones.
Michael’s wishes were to be cremated and no services will be held.
