Anthony R. Bullock, 70 of Indianapolis, formerly of Loogootee and Vincennes, passed away at 12:43 p.m. Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Community Hospital South.

He was born September 14, 1948 in Washington, Indiana to the late James Robert and Dorothy Bernice (Miles) Bullock.

Tony was a member of St. Barnabas Catholic Church in Indianapolis, Knights of Columbus and a past member of the Jaycee’s. He loved the Indianapolis Indians baseball and thought that being an usher at the ball games was the best job ever! In addition to the Indians he loved watching his grandchildren play baseball and participate in other sporting events and activities.

Tony worked in sales for many years including Niehaus Lumber and WBM. He then went on to open the Home Outfitters store in Vincennes and that store was later bought by Heilig-Meyers. Tony also opened a Heilig-Meyers store in Bloomington.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Bernice Bullock; sister, Patrice Bullock; nephew, Jeff Nigg; sister-in-law, Rebecca Bullock.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marlene (Seal) Bullock of Indianapolis; children, Kristie (Ron) Leech of Fishers, Angie (Mike) Tragesser of Indianapolis and Brian (Elizabeth) Bullock of Bloomington; grandchildren, Tyler, Evan and Alexa Leech, Sam Richey, Grant and Betsy Tragesser, and Jillian, Nathan, Brecken and Emersyn Bullock; siblings, Edward Bullock of Loogootee, Ron Bullock of Indianapolis, Connie (Don) Nigg of Jasper, Patrick Bullock of Indianapolis and Mary Julia (Marty) Bradley of Loogootee; many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will celebrate Tony’s life along with his mother’s, Dorothy Bernice Bullock, at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 24, 2018 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Loogootee, officiated by Very Rev. J. Kenneth Walker. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held Sunday, September 23, 2018 along with his mother’s, Dorothy Bernice Bullock, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee. A Knights of Columbus service will be held at 4:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
