Wanda Clark Hedde passed away Sunday, September 16, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Ind. In her 90 years she was quick-witted, exhibited a spritely sprit and demonstrated true class. Wanda was meticulous in the best of ways and lived life to the fullest.

Born on October 07, 1927 to Elgin and Linnie (Yeager) Clark, Wanda grew up with five older siblings in West Frankfort, Ill.

She graduated from Frankfort Community High School, and went on to study nursing and finished her training at Grant Hospital in Chicago. While there she met a young pharmacy student by the name of Charles Hedde. They married in September of 1950, and for more than 67 years they shared a forever-kind of love. Together they square danced, enjoyed their golf group and sailing with friends. Wanda remained committed to her nursing career by working in private practice and teaching the profession at Lawrenceville High School and was proud that both of her daughters had an opportunity to take her course.  Wanda and Charles laid a career foundation in medicine and all three of their children followed in their own respective ways.

Charles and Wanda raised their three children, Charles Clark Hedde, MD (Ann), Sandra (Hedde) Tully (Joe) and Janet (Hedde) Guess in Lawrenceville where they lived for nearly 40 years before moving to Vincennes. They were members of First Christian Church in Lawrenceville and First United Methodist Church in Vincennes. Their family was blessed with six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Elgin and Linnie Clark, siblings, Terriel, Virginia, Gene, Floriene and Loriene, her husband, Charles L. Hedde and beloved son, Dr. Charles Hedde.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 22 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., EST, at Goodwin Funeral Home in Vincennes, Ind.
