As a family we remember the uniqueness of Rachel. She was a loving mother, sister, daughter and aunt who was a free spirit who marched to the beat of her own drum. Rachel lived her life on her own terms and never apologized for who she was. She was fiercely loyal and would do whatever she could to help others. She was very outgoing and never met a stranger. She would make you feel comfortable and at ease almost immediately. If she was your friend, she was your friend. If she was not your friend, she was not your enemy.

Rachel was a supporter of the Indiana Donor Network and she believed that even in death, life can go on for others. She was a firm believer that this is what God’s will would be, to help others, even in the midst of tragedy, even for one’s own family.

The family requests that you please do not send flowers or memorial items. If you wish to express any type of sympathy, please make donations to Central Christian Church, Permanent Memorial Fund or Suicide Prevention, 10 W. Van Trees St., Washington, IN 47501, in honor of Rachel. All checks should be made payable to Central Christian Church.
