Janice Colleen (Perry) Clark rode to greener pastures on Saturday August 11, 2018. A life long resident of Knox County, Janice was born at home on January 1, 1939 in the Cow Muck area of Harrison Township. She was the Knox County New Year’s Eve Baby 1939.

Janice graduated from Monroe City High School, Class of 1956. She was active in the Vincennes business and civic communities.

Janice was co-founder, owner and operator of the Taco Rail. She was past President of the Vincennes Business and Professional Women’s Club. She worked for several local banks, the Vincennes Water Department, Beards Hardware and was manager of Aunt Tidy’s Bridal Shop.

Janice was an advocate for those in need. She volunteered for Gray Lady’s, Pink Lady’s, the Red Skelton Event Center and the Blue Jeans Center amongst other organizations.

Janice loved life. Her “fat and sassy” attitude came from the McCormick side of the house. Whether it be square dancing at the Farm Bureau Center or tap dancing with the local troupe, she loved dancing of any sort. Janice had a green thumb and loved spending time in her flower garden. She was a talented bowler winning several local tournaments. Janice was an avid traveler, having visited most of the lower 48 states. She enjoyed working out with the Vincennes YMCA crew.

Janice was a passionate reader. She took her children to the Vincennes library on a weekly basis instilling in them her love of learning.

Janice is survived by her daughter Annette Clark, Chandler AZ and son Jeff Clark, Calistoga CA. A brother Kenneth Perry, Monroe City, sisters Frieda and Jim Brown, Port Huron MI and Judy and Bill Tillman, The Villages FL. A most special sister in law, Blanche Ostendorf. And her life-long friend, Kay Friedman. She was blessed with wonderful nieces and nephews as well as with many friends, some dating back to grade school days.

Janice was proceeded in death by her parents Edwin and Opal (McCormick) Perry.

Friends may visit with her family from 9:00 – 11:00 on Saturday, at Goodwin Funeral Home. The service will begin at the funeral home at 11:00 on Saturday. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
