US Senator Todd Young was in the area yesterday.
He visited the Daviess County Security Center and local law enforcement learning more about the county’s efforts to prepare inmates for a successful life upon release. Young learned about the jail’s RARE program. The rehabilitation program for addicts going to jail has a 50% success rate so far.
Young also was in Pike County discussing plans for the Southwest Indiana Megasite Industrial Park and other local economic development issues. The senator met with the Pike County Economic Development Corporation on the issue.
