School Board Elections

Those seeking  a seat on a school board have until August 24th to file.

Locally, Washington Community Schools have four seats on the ballot.   The Washington Times Herald (www.washtimesherald.com) reports Pam Bartlett has filed for re-election in District 1 and Steve Bouchie in District 2.  No one has filed in District 3 and Rhett Williams has filed in District 4 which is the seat currently held by Jay Armes.

At Barr-Reeve there are 2 of the three seats up for election.  Incumbent Lana Helms has filed for re-election in District 2 while no one has filed in the At-Large position.

At North Daviess, Bud Woodruff has decided not to run again after 16 years on the board.  Roger Callahan has filed for his seat and no one has filed for a North Daviess At-Large position up for election in November.

Again, August 24th is the deadline to file to run for school board.
