Man jailed after allegedly wielding ax; Illinois residents charged with Possession

-Washington Police arrested 43-year-old Jason M. Crew of Washington on Monday. He’s charged with Intimidation with a Deadly Weapon and Attempted Battery by Means of a Deadly Weapon.  According to police reports, authorities were called to Sundale Trailer Court about 5:30pm to investigate a dispute in which one man was chasing and swinging a hatchet at another man.  The report says a man was taken to the emergency room.

-Two Illinois residents were jailed in Washington overnight.  Washington City Police charged 33-year-old Laura A. Pearson of Bridgeport, IL with Possession of Meth and Paraphernalia, Possession of a Syringe and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.  28-year-old Levi S. Smith of Lawrenceville, Illinois was charged with Possession of Paraphernalia and a Syringe and Visiting a Common Nuisance.  Bond was set at $2500 each.

 -A Bicknell man was arrested by Daviess County Deputies Monday for Failure to Appear.  47-year-old James R. Lehman was booked into the security center on a $2500 bond.

-62-year-old Gaylan L. Sommers of Odon was arrested by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department Monday for two counts of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated including with Endangerment.  Bond was posted

-52-year-old Phillip Muniz of Washington was picked up on a Failure to Appear warrant on Monday. Bond was set at $7500.

-Washington Police investigated a report of windows shot out at an apartment building on Northeast 4th.  The incident believed to have happened over the weekend.
