Frances M. (Fannie) Trout, 95, of Loogootee, passed away at 10:10 a.m. Monday, July 30, 2018 at Loogootee Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born May 25, 1923 in Bramble, Indiana to the late Roscoe J. and Ella (Williams) Strange.

Fannie was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She liked watching sports and especially enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Jack Trout; grandson, Ben Trout; parents, Roscoe J. and Ella (Williams) Strange; siblings, Gordon Strange, Andy Strange and Doris Smith.

Fannie is survived by her children, Mark (Karla) Trout of Loogootee, Jack (Nancy) Trout of Sellersburg, Indiana, Jim (Sandy) Trout of Franklin, Kentucky, Jeff Trout of Scotland, Indiana, Sharon (Dick) Mentzer of Tucson, Arizona; grandson, Will Trout; granddaughters, Jessica Bruner, Jodi Trout and Tori Trout; great-granddaughter, Amelia Bruner; many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; sister, Camilla Summers and brother, Phil Strange, both of Loogootee.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Very Rev. J. Kenneth Walker at 11:30 a.m. Friday, August 3, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bramble. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held Thursday, August 2, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee.
