Knox County Sheriff’s deputies arrested an Edwardsport man at his home yesterday on Knox Circuit court warrants for child molesting.

The three-count warrant was just recently filed and was served to the home occupied by 66 year-old William Majewski.  It charged him with two counts of felony child molesting, and one charge of sexual battery.

As the authorities approached, Sheriff’s officials claim Majewski left the house, and ran a short distance, with deputies in pursuit.  Majewski then reportedly stopped and pointed a handgun he possessed at his own head.  After a short conversation with Sheriff’s officials, Majewski surrendered peacefully.

Majewski is charged with the counts listed on the Knox County warrant.  He is being held in the Knox County Jail on 75-thousand dollars bond.

Sheriff’s officials emphasize at no time did either Majewski or Sheriff’s deputies ever fire their weapons.
