Janice D. Allen, 71, of Bruceville, IN, passed away July 24, 2018, at Good Samaritan Hospital.
Janice was a teacher at North Knox Central. She had taught for 40 years, and was a member of the Indiana State Teacher Association. A member of the Bicknell United Methodist Church, she also volunteered with the North Knox Social Ministries. Her favorite thing to do was watch her grandchildren’s sporting events.
Born July 30, 1946, in Vincennes, IN, she was the daughter of Howard and Eleanor (Peach) Reel.
On March 22, 1975, Janice married Gary Allen. He survives along with their children, Sherry Sheren and her husband, Mike, of Bruceville, IN, and Wesley Allen of Vincennes, IN; her sister, Debby Reichert and her husband, Tim, of Terre Haute, IN; her three grandchildren, Rhett, Lucy Jane, and Kolby Sheren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, at 10:00, at Goodwin Funeral Home. Friends may visit with her family from 4:00 – 8:00 on Friday, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Bruceville Cemetery.
