Storms cause minor damage in southern, northern Indiana

Authorities say storms have damaged about 20 homes in a southern Indiana county.

Indiana State Police Sgt. Jerry Goodin says the damage Friday afternoon ranged from minor to moderate. He says a member of the New Middletown Volunteer Fire Department suffered a minor injury.

Harrison County Emergency Management Director Gregory Reas (rees) says he has no doubt that at least one tornado hit the county along the Ohio River.

The National Weather Service says golf ball-sized hall fell in Madison.

Storms also raked northern Indiana. WNDU-TV reported a barn was destroyed in Elkhart County.
