The Washington City Council presented Certificates of Gratitude to four local men who saved the 4th of July. Nathan Lundy, Brandon Jackman, Brandon Fitzpatrick and Randy Rustin set off the fireworks July 4th at East Side Park. That morning the city recieved a call from the company hired to do the fireworks. The company said that due to an injury accident the night before, the company could not come to Washington for the celebration. The Mayor and Park’s Superintendent drove to Kentucky to get the fireworks and scrambled to find people certified and qualified to set them off. These 4 were those men.
