Independence Day Celebrations are starting

4^th of July activities abound this week. Washington’s annual celebration starts tonight at East Side Park in Washington.

 Also going on is the Shoals Catfish Festival at the Ball Park and Museum.  The next few days feature a variety of booths, fishing contests, team and individual sport competitions, live music, a parade, catfish sandwiches, and fireworks.

        In Vincennes, plans are getting finalized for the 6-pm parade on Wednesday the 4^th.

        Otwell’s Jefferson Township Ruritan Celebration starts the 4^th and runs through Saturday the 7^th. The parade is Wednesday the 4^th at 10-am and the rest of the week is filled with carnival activities, truck and tractor pulls and more.
