A murder trial is under way in Warrick County. Opening statements were heard yesterday in the Isaiah Hagan murder trial. He’s accused of killing Halee Rathgeber last year. Prosecutors say they have evidence that connects Hagan to Halee’s death. Hagan’s Attorney, Mark Phillips, says there are still a lot of questions, partly because of the lack of Hagan’s DNA. He says to this day, no bullet fragments or shell casings have ever been found. Rathgeber was a USI nursing students in Evansville. Her body was found at a sports complex parking lot on Indiana 66 near Newburgh. The murder occurred in April 2017.
