Could the local Long John Silver’s be re-opening in the future.

Long John Silver’s restaurant locations in Washington, Vincennes, Jasper and Princeton were among the acquisitions announced yesterday by Louisville-based Long John Silver’s from Jasper-based ServUS.  In all,  70 restaurants were acquired, most located in Indiana and others in Western Kentucky and Southwest Michigan.  Inside Indiana Business reports that financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, however the company says no jobs will be affected.

Brian Unger, chief operating officer of Long John Silver’s called the deal an excellent opportunity to continue their brand revitalization

The acquisition is part of an effort Long John Silver’s began in 2015 to purchase a number of restaurants in its system, which now totals 200. The company is currently renovating existing restaurants and says those whose renovations are complete have reported double-digit growth.

The local Long John Silver’s, right next to the Washington Radio Center, closed down last December
