Homer Clay Lyons, 92, of Montgomery, passed away May 13, 2018, in Washington. Born March 27, 1926, in Cadiz, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Joe and Garnie (Calahoun) Lyons. He attended school in Kentucky. He married Delores York on Nov. 24, 1946.

Homer is a veteran of the United States Army paratroopers, serving in Japan during World War II. He was employed as a farmer, parts manager for John Deere, a feed salesman for Pete’s Feed, and sold farm insurance. He loved the Lord, farming, and being outdoors.

He is survived by special friend, Judy Barber (and the late Lonnie Barber). He is preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Ophia Cunningham, Annis Curling and Alberta Rogers; three brothers, Perry, John and Wallace Lyons.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Aikman Creek Baptist Church, with Pastor Ron Raymond officiating.
