Robert O. Reitmeyer, 93, of Vincennes, passed away at 9:30am. Saturday May 12, 2018 at his residence.
He was born July 17, 1924 in Vincennes to Paul and Ona (Jackson) Reitmeyer.
Bob owned and operated Ace Auto Electric and was a member of the First Christian Church. His other memberships included Masonic Lodge #1, where he was a 33rd degree Mason, Scottish Rite, Elks, Harmony, American Legion, VFW, and the Do Nothing Club. Bob loved to go boating and going to Dogwood BBQ and was proud to serve in the Army during WWII.
Surviving are his son, Robert O’Neal (Glenda) Reitmeyer of Vincennes; his grandchildren, Heather Lee Byrer, Jessica O. Reitmeyer, and Sharon D. Holloway; his great grandchildren, Hunter O. (Allie) Byrer, Dillon E. Byrer, and Abbey Holloway; and his great granddaughter, Everly Byrer.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Mary Thelma (Johnson) Reitmeyer on July 25, 2005; a son, Stephen Reitmeyer April 3, 2013; and a granddaughter, Sandra K. Reitmeyer on October 24, 2008. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Thursday at Goodwin Funeral Home with Rev. Peter Haskins officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be from 1:00 until the service time. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice.
