State Road 57 between Petersburg and Oakland City has been deteriorating for some time and this past winter was especially hard on the highway.
The Indiana Department of Transportation is slated to start Monday to patch mill and resurface just over 12 miles of the road from around Illinois Street in Petersburg to State Road 64 in Oakland City.
Motorists will see flaggers, barrels and signs and highway construction workers along 57 in that area again starting Monday and last through August depending on weather.
