Early voting is steady

Over 400 voters have taken advantage of early voting in Daviess County.

Daviess County Clerk Janice Williams says over 50 voters came to her office yesterday to cast an early ballot for the Primary Election.   You can vote early during regular office hours from 8 to 4 Monday through Friday at the courthouse through May 7th.   The courthouse will be open special hours tomorrow from 8 to 3 for the convenience of early voters.

Williams says election officials continue to prepare for Election Day now just 10 days away.  She says voting machines are programmed and ready.  Poll worker classes started yesterday and the Absentee Travel Board was out yesterday taking ballots to confined voters.

Williams reminds some Washington resident of polling place changes.  Those living in the precinct of Washington 2 who voted at the Masonic Lodge will now vote at the Courthouse basement on Election Day.  In Odon some precincts have been combined.  Madison 1, 2 and 3 will all vote at the Odon Community Center.
