Pinwheel turns 10 this year

        2018 is the 10th anniversary of the Pinwheel being used by Prevent Child Abuse America as the national symbol for child abuse.  April is Child Abuse Awareness month and the time when many Pinwheels for Prevention events happening across the nation.  The aim is to support children in a community.

        The local observance is Friday at East Side Park in Washington from 4 to 7 rain or shine.        You’ll see local law enforcement and fire departments.  DCH will have health screenings and there’ll be mental health information.   There’ll be drawings and some free food. Everything is free.  It encompasses all ages from babies to adults.    There’s door prizes including bikes, Zeller signed basketballs and more.
