Two drug investigations results in four arrests

       Washington Police Officers arrested four individuals in two separate drug investigations last Thursday.

         Washington Police Chief Todd Church says Officers located more than 900 Xanax pills and over one-pound of marijuana during an investigation at a Washington residence.  Arrested were 54 year old James Jones and 46 year old Donna Haburne.  They were charged with Dealing in a Schedule IV Controlled Substance, Dealing Marijuana, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, and Possession of Paraphernalia.

          Also, on Thursday, WPD Officers were responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on the parking lot at Daviess Community Hospital.  Officers discovered 27 year old Jesse Cummings of Vincennes, and 20 year old Roger Fleetwood of Washington in the vehicle.  Officers also located a 9 mm handgun, controlled substances, Methamphetamine, Marijuana, and Paraphernalia.  It was apparent to the officers that a drug transaction was taking place and the Cummings was armed.  Cummings was arrested for possession of a handgun without a license, dealing marijuana, possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of a schedule IV controlled substance, and possession of paraphernalia.  Fleetwood faces charges of Possession of a schedule II controlled substance, Visiting a common nuisance, possession of marijuana, and possession of paraphernalia.  The Daviess County Sheriff’s Department also assisted in the investigation.

       All four individuals were booked into the Daviess County Security Center.
