A reminder, that voter registration runs through April 9th. The election is May 8th. Daviess County Clerk Janice Williams says if you need to register, change an address or make a name change you can do so at the clerk’s office during regular hours Monday through Friday from 8 to 4. You can also register at area BMV’s. Don’t forget that license branches are closed this Friday for Good Friday.
 A photo ID like a driver’s license, or US Passport or other state issued photo ID required. You must be 18 by November 6th to qualify as a voter this year. If you have questions call 812-254-8679. Again, voter registration runs through April 9th.
       Early voting for the primary begins April 10th. That will go on through May 7th a day before the May 8th primary. You can vote in the Daviess County Clerk’s office Monday through Friday 8 to 4 beginning April 10th. The office will also be open on Saturdays April 28th and May 5th from 8 to 3 for voting.
