Possession arrest in Washington, fuel spill on 257

DAVIESS ARRESTS

-A Vincennes man was jailed in Washington on a warrant for Failure to Appear.  Bond for 51-year-old Jesse L. Kane was set at $2500.

-24-year-old Dillion J. Baugh of Montgomery was arrested by Washington Police yesterday for Possession of a Schedule 4 Controlled Substance.

KNOX ARRESTS

-Two Vincennes residents are facing charges following his early morning arrest by VPD Tuesday.  31-yeawr-old Meghan A. Taft was jailed for Possession of a Syringe and Meth both felonies and for misdemeanor possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.  She’s also charged with Maintaining a Common Nuisance.   34-year-old Christopher Howder is charged with Visiting a Common Nuisance.  Vincennes Police were assisted by the Knox County Sheriff’s Department and State Police in the 3-am arrests Tuesday.

-Tonya Marshal 42, was jailed in Vincennes at 1:18 this morning on a warrant for theft.

-21-year-old Nicholas Dinkis was arrested by VPD yesterday afternoon for residential entry.

-Avery Larimer and Kenton Newton both 19, Jordan Quarles and Benjamin Hickman both 18, were arrested in Vincennes for Possession of Marijuana and Paraphernalia yesterday afternoon by VU Police.

 

POLICE REPORTS

-A semi leaked at least 100 gallons of diesel fuel in a ditch on State Road 257.   The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office received a call at 10:30 last night from 3748 South State Road 257.  The caller said a semi was in a ditch leaking fuel.  Police reports say the fire department “boomed it off” and the National Response Center was called and so was the EPA.  An environmental firm from Evansville was contacted to clean up the spill.
