The Washington Community School Corporation has bought the Yoder Garage area property on West National Highway. School administrators told the school board last night that they closed on the property earlier in the day. The property is be the location for the school system’s new transportation facility. The school paid $180,000 for 2.5 acres and a building at 204 West National Highway. School Superintendent Dr. Dan Roach says that a bus garage will be utilized to house and maintain the school bus fleet with room to expand when necessary. The plan is to have the garage in use by the 2018-2019 school year.
