The Barr-Reeve School Corporation has been recognized as a Performance Qualified School.  The announcement made at Tuesday night’s school board meeting.

Washington Times Herald  Schools Superintendent Travis Madison gave credit to the students, teachers and staff.

reports that the designation from the Indiana State Department of Education is based on the same criteria that led to the schools being named 4-Star Schools. This designation however gives the school options concerning their operation including setting days and methods of instructions.

Madison says they may not want to change too much as what they do now works proven by the success which continues to berecognized by the state.  But the newspaper says school officials will discuss possible changes to make things even better.
