River Level Update

        Checking river levels as flood warnings continue.  The White at Edwardsport is over 22 feet and approaching it’s predicted crest of 22.5. Food stage is 15 feet.

        At Petersburg its at 23.6 and will crest at 24.3 by Thursday morning. Flood stage is 16 feet.

        The East Fork White will crest 6 feet above flood stage at Shoals on Saturday at 26 feet.  It’s currently at 24 feet.

        The Wabash at Vincennes is 20.2 and will crest Saturday at 25.2.  Flood stage is 16 feet.

Meanwhile, seven more counties have been added to Governor Eric Holcomb’s disaster emergency declaration–18 in all now with the addition of Benton, Clark, Crawford, Floyd, Jefferson, Spencer and Warrick. This allows the Indiana Department of Homeland Security to provide expanded emergency services–and it’s a first step toward a request for assistance from the federal government.
