Kristin Miles has announced her candidacy for the Republican nomination for Daviess County Council, District 2 in the May primary. In announcing her candidacy, Miles noted her desire to create more value for the citizens of Daviess County. “My campaign slogan is “Going the Extra Miles…”, because that is my intent. When I commit to doing something, I’ll go above and beyond to see it through.”, said Miles. “This is our community, and these are our tax dollars. I want to see more people involved. I want input from our citizens so that we can ensure that we are doing all we can do to make Daviess County an excellent place to live. My vision is for our kids to have a thriving community that they want to come back to after college.”

Miles is a strong conservative and believes it is crucial to keep taxes at a minimum. “Costs are going up, and I believe that we are going to have to think outside the box to stay ahead. My paycheck went up this year as a direct result of a tax cut. I want people to understand how much politics effect our daily lives. I respect and admire our County Council. I feel that I have something different to bring to the table and I would really like the opportunity to work with them. Innovation is key, here.”
