Mildred Fears

 

 

 

Mildred Fears, 95, of Otwell, passed away at Amber Manor in Petersburg Jan. 26. She was born Oct. 29, 1922, to Ira and Flossie (Burns) Traylor.

Mildred enjoyed being outdoors, going for long walks, and visits with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She graduated from Otwell High School and worked at UniRoyal in Washington.

She is survived by sons Jerry (TammY) Fears of Bell Buckle, Tennessee, Rick (Betty) Fears of Lynnville; a daughter, Becky (Terry) Uppencamp of Jasper; grandchildren Tim (Kathy) Fears of Otwell, Ryan (Katie) Fears of Boynton Beach, Florida, Lacey (Terry) Marsh of Newburgh, Matt (Lori) Fears of Evansville, Heath (Heather) Uppencamp of Mattoon, Illinois, and Holly Uppencamp of Indianapolis; and five great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Ivan Fears; her parents; and five brothers, Jerald (Woody), Leon (Bud), Paul, Morris (Bus), and Gene Traylor.
A Celebration of Life will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 2, at Contenders of Faith Church in Otwell. Burial will be in Otwell Public Cemetery at a later date.
Arrangements are being made through Harris Funeral Home, Petersburg.
