Daviess County Councilman Mike Sprinkle addressed the Daviess County Commissioners Tuesday on a couple of issues.  Mike Sprinkle asked about what plans the Commissioners had for the ONB building on Washington’s Main Street.  Commissioners President Nathan Gabhart said that the building has been assessed in preparation for sale, but the Commissioners might not try to sell the building until after the new Courthouse Annex is completed in case there is a need for in-door storage during the construction.

Sprinkle also asked if the Commissioners have taken any steps to lessen the damage done to paved county roads by horse shoes.  The Commissioners said nothing had been done some initial meetings with the Amish Community.  The Commissioners reported the Amish are firmly against using rubber horseshoes and prefer using a redesigned thinner metal horseshoe.  The Commissioners agreed to hold more meetings to address the damage to the county roads.
