Washington Police arrested the man Sunday they had been looking for in connection with a January 3rd assault and robbery.

The incident took place that evening near Griffith Elementary School where two people were robbed of a cell phone and cash and assaulted.

Not long after police began investigating they arrested a juvenile in connection with the crimes.  This past Saturday they reported they had charged 19-year-old David Redmond of Washington on warrants for Armed Robbery, Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery and Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery Resulting in Bodily Injury.  They asked for the public’s help in finding 19-year-old Laking Ali Clay on the same Conspiracy Charges.

Arrest logs show Clay was arrested Sunday and taken to the Daviess County Security Center on a $2500 bond.
