There was a ribbon cutting for Vincennes’ newest hotel Thursday, as the Hampton Inn held its official grand opening. The business is located at 2863 Ford Road near Kohl’s.
Virgil Rasche is manager of the new Hampton Inn and the facility was constructed by General Hotels Corporation. Corporation president Jim Dora, Junior lived in Vincennes as a child, and his father– Jim Dora, Senior– is from Vincennes. Dora believes the new hotel is both a new hotel in a familiar place– and a smart business move. He calls it a win win for his family and for the community.
The ribbon cutting was followed by tours of the facility. The ribbon cutting was sponsored by the Knox County Chamber of Commerce.
