State Homeland Security Still Monitoring the Weather

The Indiana Department of Homeland Security stayed at a Level 3 state of operations throughout the night as winter weather made its way out of the state.

That’s IDHS Emergency Response and Recovery Director Erin Rowe.

A Level 3 also calls for round-the-clock monitoring of the weather to make sure everything and everyone is okay. Rowe says INDOT will continue to have salt trucks on Indiana’s roads…

Rowe says some 4,000 Hoosiers throughout the state lost power as a result of ice build up on power lines. She reported fewer crashes during the rush hours all over the state as most people used common sense while driving and took it slow and easy while others stayed home.
