The Federal Communications Commission today approved a request from DLC Media, to construct a new FM Translator for the community of Montgomery.  According to DLC Media President and General Manager Dave Crooks, the low-watt FM Translator will allow DLC Media to expand the coverage of WAMW-AM 1580 and FM 95.9 to eventually include 101.3 FM from the town of Montgomery.

According to Crooks, the new FM Station will be located on the Helena Chemical Tower located just south of Barr-Reeve High School.  According to Crooks, DLC Media has up to 3 years to complete the construction. However, the company hopes to complete the project this year. Crooks wants to thank Helena Chemical Company and the Traylor Family for cooperating in this project. Crooks added; “This improvement means better coverage for Barr-Reeve Sports, Cincinnati Reds Baseball and our Four Star Country Music as well as other local programming.”
