Arrests in Odon for Possession and Battery

-Odon Police conducted an investigation and arrested a local man on possession charges.  29-year-old Wesley Potts was charged with Possession of Marijuana, Meth and Paraphernalia and also with Maintaining a Common Nuisance.  No bond was set at the Daviess County Security Center.

-Police in Odon arrested 32-year-old John Willoughby for Battery on a Juvenile.  He was taken to jail and being held without bond.

-The Daviess County Sheriff’s Department arrested 45-year-old Ronnie Ritter for Fraud, Forgery and Auto Theft on Tuesday.  No bond was set.

– Police responded to some domestic disputes early Tuesday.  One was on Hefron in Washington at about 4:25 yesterday morning. The other was on Vince Street a little over an hour later.   No arrests were made.

-There was a two car collision at 150-West and Old US 50 yesterday at just before 4-pm.  One of the drivers went to the ER by private vehicle.

-Minor accident reported at 6:22 last night on East National Highway.

-At 12:33pm, county deputies investigated a reported driver who hit 3 mailboxes along County Road 75-South.

-A local resident told  police dispatchers yesterday they’d received call from someone saying they were from the IRS.  The person on the line told the resident there was a warrant for their arrest.  The caller ID was the Sheriff’s Office number.  The department advised the caller that the call is a scam.

-There was a report of juveniles around the ice at the upper lake at East Side Park.  Officers told them stay off the thin ice.
