Sondra F. Clodfelter

Sondra F. Clodfelter, 76, of 1504 N. Hillcrest Rd., Vincennes, passed away at 7:26 am, Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at Greenwood Healthcare Center in Greenwood.

She was born in Olney, Illinois, on April 19, 1941, to Herschel and Zola (Shacklee) Brinkley.

Sondra owned Sondra’s Custom Draperies and was a member of the Community United Methodist Church and Xi Delta Chapter Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. At church she had been involved with the music and youth activities and volunteered to help with her husband where the church needed them.  She also volunteered at Helping His Hands, Lincoln/Clark Band Boosters, and was a Kids Hope Mentor, and sung in the community choir. Sondra enjoyed traveling and was her grandchildren’s biggest fan.

Surviving are her husband, Galen Clodfelter, whom she married April 19, 1959; her children, Cheryl (Eric) Meyer of Vincennes, and Chris (Kimberly) Clodfelter of Evansville; two brothers, Richard Brinkley of Paris, IL, and Donald Brinkley of Springfield, IL; her grandchildren, Zane Clodfelter, Rae Marissa Clodfelter, Will Meyer, and Hannah Shields, and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Sondra’s Life will be at 10:00 am, EST, Saturday, December 16, 2017, at Community United Methodist Church with Rev. Stacy Downing and Rev. Ray Tromley officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4-8 pm, EST, Friday at Goodwin Funeral Home and from 9:00 am until the service Saturday at the church.
