Arrests for Theft and Domestic Battery Reported

-25-year-old Kara Lercher of Bloomington was arrested by sheriff’s deputies overnight for Operating While Intoxicated.

-The Daviess County Sheriff’s Department investigated a domestic dispute yesterday and arrested 46-year-old Scott McDonald of Washington.  He’s charged with Domestic Battery in the Presence of a Minor and Strangulation.  No bond was set.

-Washington Police charged a woman yesterday with Theft, and Unlawful Entry.  It’s believed the charges may stem from an investigation of thefts at vehicles at the Wal-Mart Parking Lot.  36-year-old Shelly Phipps of Washington is also charged with Obstruction of Justice and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Bond was set at $2500.

 

 

 In Washington Police Reports….

-At 7-am yesterday morning a motorist driving north on I69 informed the Sheriff’s Department they swerved to miss a deer at hit guardrail at the 58 mile marker.  An ambulance responded as the man said he hit his head; he signed a medical release and was not taken to the hospital.

-There was a car/deer crash on State Road 57 and East 150-North at 6:20 last evening.

-A car/deer crash at 6:15 last night at County Road 75-East.

-There was a vehicle accident with no injuries just off State Road 57 at the access road to Papa John’s. That was at 1:32pm.

-Washington Police are investigating vandalism at East Side Park.  Park Superintendent Kip Kelley told police it was likely done around 6:30 on Monday night.  About 100 Christmas light bulbs were broken. 

KNOX COUNTY ARRESTS

-Vincennes Police served a warrant on Buntin Street last night.  26-year-old Logan A-T Padgett was wanted on a Martin County warrant.  He was charged with a Probation Violation and False Informing.

-An arrest warrant was served on 56-year-old Morris D. Butler of Vincennes on New Albany Street in Vincennes early yesterday morning.  Butler was wanted on a Failure to Appear Warrant for Operating While Intoxicated.

-32-year-old Michael Oliver was arrested by VPD in the midnight hour for Burglary and Check Fraud.

-Bicknell Police arrested 37-year-old William Coe yesterday for Possession of Meth and Driving While Suspended. 

-18-year-old Dylan Coates was booked into the Knox County Jail at 8:25 last night.  Vincennes Police charged him with Theft and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.

-Bicknell Police investigated an accident and arrested 44-year-old Michael Webber for Leaving the Scene of an Accident and for Operating While Intoxicated.  He was jailed at 9:45 last night.

24-year-old Jamaal Williams was booked into the Knox County Jail at 4:48 pm by VPD for Posession of Marijuana, Paraphernalia, False Informing, Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.
