Weekend Accidents, Arrests and Incidents…

-One person was taken to the hospital after an accident at 9:50-pm last night at US 50 and Troy Road.  The accident was described as a T-Bone crash.

-There was a property damage accident at State Road 57 south near the Pike County line at just before 7-am Sunday.

-At just before 3pm Sunday, a motorist called authorities saying they had ran off the road near Plainville and hit a mailbox and damaged the vehicle’s windshield.

-An unknown vehicle ran off the road while going south on Meridian Saturday night.  Vehicle broke a support cable after hitting an AT&T utility pole.

Also Saturday night, a car went off the road at 1100-East and 1675-North and Odon and ended up in a ditch.  There were no injuries.

-A 2 door Lexis was seen leaving Chuckles on US 50 and 57 without paying for gasoline on Sunday.

-A patron at the Y in Washington reported prescription medication taken from an unlocked locker while they were swimming.

-Police served a warrant on a juvenile on Northeast 3rd overnight.  They were wanted in Broward County, Florida.

-A Washington woman was picked up on an out of county warrant on Sunday.  Washington Police booked 33-year-old Charli Greenwell into the security center without bond.  The warrant was from Dubois County.  She was arrested when police were investigating a complaint on Jackson Street in Washington at about 3:37pm Sunday.

-A man was charged after a Friday night accident on US 50 east of Washington.   It happened just after 9pm close to the Produce Patch.   22-year-old Jose Lopez Rodriguez of Nashville, Tennessee went left of the center line in a Honda Accord and sideswiped at semi driven by by 36-year-old Nicola Glisic driving for P-A-R Trucking out of Cook County, Illinois.    Another motorist in an ’08 Buick was behind the semi.  81-year-old Ronnie G. Crawford of Lawrenceville, Illinois had to run off into a ditch to avoid a collision.   There were no injuries.    Rodriguez was charged with Operating While intoxicated and Operating Without a License.  Bond was posted but he was said to be kept in jail on an immigration hold.
