Dorothy Ann (Sullivan) Taylor, 93, of Plainville, IN, went peacefully to her Heavenly Home on November 30, 2017. She was born on July 4, 1924 in Edwardsport, IN to the late Ellis “Bob” B. and Della (Scott) Sullivan. She graduated from Epson High School in 1942. On November 26, 1946 she married Luther Taylor. Dorothy retired from NSW Crane in 1975. She also worked at Murphy’s Store. She was a member of Plainville United Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling, hosting large family dinners, and loved I.U. Basketball.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Juanita Bush (Mike); sons Bob Taylor (Betty) and Mike Taylor (Sandra); eleven grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Luther Taylor, son Kenny Taylor, brother Charles Sullivan, sisters Grace Sullivan and Helen Sullivan-Wernz, and great grandson Tre’ Smith.
The funeral service for Dorothy will take place on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 11am at Gill Funeral Home, 308 E. Walnut Street, Washington, IN 47501 with Pastor Jim Roach officiating and special speaker Pastor Bob Tipton. Visitation will be on Monday, December 4, 2017 from 4-8pm at the funeral home.
