Larry L. Cardinal, 77 of Vincennes passed away at 7:28 am on November 26, 2017 at Hope Hospice at Cape Coral in Cape Coral, FL. Larry was born on August 20, 1940 in Monroe City the son of Donald B. and L. Fern (Perry) Cardinal. He married Pamela Wiscaver on December 30, 1967.

Larry was a 1959 graduate of Monroe City High School and a 1960 graduate of Henderson, KY Barber School. He worked as a barber in Cadiz, KY and Monroe City for several years. He then went to work for Southern Indiana Wood Preserving in Winslow, IN retiring in 1996 as the Plant Manager. Larry was a member of the Monroe City Volunteer Fire Department, Harmony Society, Masonic Lodge F.A. and M. 1, and the Vincennes Shrine. Larry was member of Wilson Creek Baptist Church and then a member of Community United Methodist Church. He loved working with his dad and driving his trucks, loved taking care of his yard and spending time at his vacation home on Lake Barkley and later at Raintree RV Park in North Fort Myers, FL and watching his son and grandchildren play sports.

Survivors include his wife, Pamela Cardinal of Vincennes; son, Greg Cardinal and his wife Shawn of Vincennes; sister, Donnetta Cardinal of Monroe City; grandchildren, Alexa and Jalen Cardinal of Vincennes; niece Pam Vories and her husband Dave of Monroe City; and nephew Michael Scott and his wife Nancee of Monroe City. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Donald B. and L. Fern Cardinal.

Funeral services for Larry will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Goodwin Funeral Home with Rev. Faye Bilskie officiating. Interment will follow in Wilson Creek Cemetery in Monroe City. Friends may visit with Larry’s family from 5-8 pm on Friday, December 1, 2017 and from 1:00 pm until the hour of service time of 2:00 pm on Saturday at the funeral home. There will be a masonic memorial service conducted at 4:45 pm on Friday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent to Larry’s family and friends at www.goodwinfamilyfh.com.
