Richard G. Adamson, age 72, of Washington, passed away at 10:46 p.m., Sunday, November 26th at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes.

He was born November 18, 1945 in Washington to William A. and Hazel I. (Church) Adamson

He was a 1962 graduate of Washington High School. He had worked at Crane Naval, Hoover Precision and the City of Washington. He was a 30 year member of the Charity Lodge #30 F&AM, Daviess County Shrine Club and also a member of the Evansville Hadi Shriners.

He is survived by son, Richard G. Adamson, Jr. of Washington; daughters, Mindy (Jay) Lengacher of Florence, South Carolina and Shelly Sidebottom of Washington; brother, Ronnie Adamson of Bloomington; grandchildren, Chase Masters, Jarrit  Masters, Alyssa Masters, Daniel Adamson, Christopher Adamson, Taylor Adamson, Damon Wilson, Lauren Wilson, Kristen Wilson, Nolan Adamson; ten great grandchildren, one niece and one nephew.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Adamson, on August, 28, 2011 whom he married September 4, 1965;  son, William R. Adamson, grandson, Lynnden Masters, parents and nephew, Kelly Gabhart.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday November 30, 2017 at Ed Lee Mortuary with Yvonne Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Sugarland Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday with a Masonic service at 5:00 p.m. at Ed Lee Mortuary. Condolences may be sent online at www.edleemortuary.com
