A new program in Martin County is designed to improve access to local law enforcement services.
The Martin County Sheriff’s Department reports they have assigned deputies to each of the county’s six townships and Crane Village in order to better address community needs. Brief, informal, town-hall style meetings in each township will be scheduled twice a year in order to engage the public on how law enforcement services can better serve the community.
The assigned deputies are currently scouting out possible meeting places and setting dates and times for the gatherings.
